A Single Suggestion: Buying Multiple Papers!

Another simple suggestion for the week – buy multiple newspapers every Sunday! This is one of the easiest ways I save a lot of money. I often get asked where I get my coupons, and truthfully, even though there are lots of Internet printables, I get most of my coupons from the Sunday paper.

I buy 2 papers every week because I can stock up at least double on every sale + coupon deal. However, I know many families who buy 5-10 papers per week! The $1.75/paper (the going rate in Nashville) is well worth the coupon savings found inside. The general rule of thumb is to buy as many papers as people in your household.

One more tip in this regard… make sure you grab the papers from the bottom of the stack. It’s sad, but when I purchase papers from the top, I often find one or all of the inserts missing. Please make sure you purchase the whole paper to get the inserts!
