A Single Suggestion: Perfect Recipes for Ingredients on Hand

My venture into the “couponing world” has allowed me to try LOTS of products I’ve never tried or do not buy regularly.  That being so, I don’t always know how to incorporate these products into my meal plan and recipes.  Necessity is the mother of invention (well, not mine, but someone’s).

I’ve discovered two fabulous resources:

1. Product Websites: Look up the manufacturer of the product online.  Almost all of them have a “product recipes” section where you can search by the product you’ve purchased.  For example, I recently wanted to jazz up some Uncle Ben’s vegetable rice pilaf.  I went to Uncle Ben’s website and found a fabulous recipe for Long Grain and Wild Vegetable Pilaf and Turkey Casserole.  Here are some other recipes I’ve found helpful:

2. Allrecipes.com: I often have a bunch of random ingredients on hand and not a clue what to do with them.  Allrecipes.com has a wonderful resource perfect for this problem!  You can not only search for recipes, but search by a set of ingredients.  At the top of site, click ingredients.  Enter in ingredients you want AND ingredients you don’t want.  I always sort by rating and enjoy what others have enjoyed in the past.  It’s perfect!
